Despite dropping the first set, Citrus College rallied to grab a 3-1 victory (17-25, 25-15, 25-18, 25-20) over West LA Wednesday night.

The Owls improve to 5-16 overall and 2-4 in Western State Conference-South action with their second-straight win. The Wildcats drop to 5-10 on the year and 1-4 in conference.

Faith Evaro led the Owls with 15 kills and had four aces, while Miah Soriano, Danielle Erlandson, and Julia Pitre added eight kills each. Vanessa Marquez finished with 32 assists and Mychaela Ortiz posted 18 digs defensively.

The Owls struggled offensively in the first set but turned things around in the second to even the match up. The home team then had its best offensive output in the third, hitting at a .310 clip as a team to shift the match in its favor.

West LA tried to rally in the fourth, but back-to-back kills from Evaro sealed the victory for the Owls.
