The Citrus College Women's Volleyball team traveled to Cuesta College on Wednesday evening and after earning their first win of the season last Friday against LA Pierce College, the Owls lost in straight sets to the Cougars (25-18, 25-21, 25-22).
Citrus College moves to 1-6 on the season while Cuesta College improves to 6-7 on the season.
The Owls were led by McKenna Cooper with 11 kills and Danielle Erlandson with nine kills. Samantha Flores and Georgia Walls both added three kills.
Alexia Avalos' eight digs led the Owls while Isabel Luna and Kiera Vermillion had seven and six digs, respectively.
McKenna Cooper recorded nine service aces followed by Isabel Luna's eight and Savannah Mendoza's seven.
The Owls kept all three sets close against the Cougars but overall could not contain their opponent to win a set.
Citrus will look to add another win to their record as they host 13-0 LA Mission College tonight, Friday, September 27th at 6 p.m.
