Owls Fall to Undefeated Eagles

Citrus College Women's Volleyball hosted the No.14 ranked LA Mission College on Friday night and lost in straight sets (25-17, 25-21, 25-13).
Although it was not the result the Owls were hoping for, there were some impressive moments against an undefeated opponent.
The Owls competed in set one, with kills from McKenna Cooper and Raegen Johnson. The Eagles pulled away winning the first set 25-17.
The second set of the game was the most competitive as the Owls battled back from being down five points to get within two points before the Eagles won the set 25-21.
In set three the Owls could not overcome an Eagle eight-point scoring run and lost the set 25-13.
The Owls were led by McKenna Cooper with nine kills and a block assist with Danielle Erlandson who had four kills of her own. Raegen Johnson led the team with 13 assists while also leading the Owls with six digs. Alexia Avalos led the team with four service aces and Tara Biscan recorded a solo block on an impressive effort at the net.
Citrus College is back home next Wednesday, October 2nd as they host the College of the Canyons at 6 p.m.
