Woodland Hills, CA -- The Citrus College Women's Water Polo team dropped their regular season finale on Wednesday afternoon. The Owls fell to first place Los Angeles Pierce College 12-5.

The Owls got off to a good start defensively holding the Brahmas to a single score in the first quarter. Pierce began to pull away in the second quarter though going into the break leading 6-2. Citrus held Pierce to just two more goals in the third, but the Owls couldn't match them offensively, ultimately falling by seven.

In the loss, Citrus was led by sophomore Kendra New and freshman Lauren Quintero who had a pair of goals each. Freshman Kimberly Torres added a goal, and assist and three steals.

With the loss, Citrus falls to 12-15 overall and 1-4 in WSC play. The Owls still have the WSC Championship Tournament to look forward too next weekend, at Santa Monica College where the Owls will likely be the #5 seed.
