Silva Named to Pan American Championships Coaching Staff

Citrus College Head Women's Water Polo Coach Andrew Silva has been named to the coaching staff of the USA Youth National Women's Water Polo team for the upcoming UANA Junior Pan American Championships.

Glendora, CA -- Citrus College Head Women's Water Polo Coach Andrew Silva has been named to the USA's Women's Youth Water Polo National Team coaching staff for the 2014 UANA Junior Pan American Championships this week in Riverside.

"I am incredibly honored and excited to be on the Women's Youth National team coaching staff," Silva said. "This is a great opportunity, and I am looking forward to being a part of the experience."

Silva, who is entering his second year at the helm of the Citrus College Women's Water Polo program, will be on the bench with the USA Women's team as they take on Brazil, Canada, Mexico, and Puerto Rico. Silva joined the USA Water Polo Olympic Development Program as a regional goalkeeper coach back in November of 2012. The semi-final and final games of the 2014 UANA Junior Pan American Games can be watched live online at CoachesAid.com. Games start on Tuesday July 8th, and run through the following Tuesday July 14th.
