Valley Glen, CA -- The Citrus College Women's Water Polo program hit the road on Wednesday afternoon for a key middle of the conference season WSC contest at LA Valley College. The Owls were sent home with a tough loss, as their offense was stymied in a 9-1 loss.

The Owls' lone score in the game would come in the first quarter when Danielle DeHerrera converted a shot attempt. Citrus would be in the game after the first trailing just 2-1, but the Monarchs pulled away in the second and third quarters leading 6-1 after three. The Owls committed 19 total turnovers and were able to muster just 12 total shot attempts in the loss.

With the loss, Citrus falls to 5-11 overall and 2-2 in WSC play. Citrus will be back at home this weekend as they host their own tournament starting with El Camino College at 11:30 on Friday.
