Women's Water Polo headed north to Ventura Wednesday for what would be their final regular season conference matchup of 2018. The Owls dropped a closely contested game 7-9, despite great play by the team throughout.

Citrus gained and regained leads throughout the 1st half, but Ventura surged late in the 4th quarter and barely edged out the feisty Owls.

Delaney Geppart, the Citrus goal leader on the season, put together a one of her most complete stat lines to lead the Owls. Geppart ended up with 3 goals, 2 assist, 4 steals and a field block. Cameron SchweenKeylee BurkeDeliliah Lozano and Emma Tuck each netted a goal in the effort.

The Owls end up in the 4th spot of the Western State Conference, but with a lot more polo to play before playoff season begins. Citrus will travel to Long Beach for a tournament today and tomorrow.
