Citrus College dominated both of its games to open the Citrus Tournament on Friday, grabbing a 20-4 whopping over Pasadena City and capped it off with a 17-4 victory over Fresno.

The Owls improve to 7-10 overall with the pair of lopsided victories.

In the opener, Citrus jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the first quarter before PCC could get a good look at the cage. Amelia Wolfe started the scoring spree for the Owls, while Mia Meldrum, Andrea Hayler, Sierra Beltran, Teghan Miller and Amanda Herrera also got in on the action.

Citrus never took its foot off the pedal, blasting past the Lancers to grab the 20-4 victory.

Beltran led the Owls with five goals in the game, while Meldrum and Hayler each scored four goals.

Stephanie Azizeh only had to make two saves in the cage for the Owls in the first game.

The second game started much like the first as the Owls jumped out to an 8-0 lead two minutes into the second quarter. Meldrum scored the first two goals for Citrus, while Hayler and Delaney Latham also rattled in multiple goals.

Citrus extended its lead to 10-1 at halftime, all but sealing the 17-4 victory right there.

Hayler finished with a team-high six goals, followed by Meldrum's five goals. Latham scored three goals, while Miller, Genesis Moradel and Beltran also scored for Citrus.

Mia Pfutzenrueter had to make three saves in two quarters of action, while Isabella Romero added five saves to close out the game.

The Owls look to carry this momentum as they host day two of the Citrus Tournament on Saturday, taking on Saddleback at 10:20 a.m. and Chaffey at 4:10 p.m.
