Spalding Earns Distinguished Water Polo Coaching Award

Citrus College's Jennifer Spalding was named the 2023 Sandy Nitta Distinguished Coaching Award for the Southern Pacific zone by USA Water Polo.

Spalding, who coaches the Owls' women's water polo and swim teams, also coaches the 14 and under girls' water polo team at Rancho Tsunami Water Polo Club. She becomes the first female and second-ever RTWPC staff member to be awarded the honor since the club's inception in 2017.

Spalding is one of 10 coaches to receive the award in the United States. Each zone winner is eligible for the National Sandy Nitta Distinguished Coaching Award, which will be announced later this year.
