Owls Win Big at Home

The Citrus College Women's Water Polo team hosted Las Positas College this past Saturday for a 9:30 AM game that resulted in a 21-6 win for the Owls, improving their overall season record to 3-8. 

The Owls quickly proved that they were ready to compete as three different players all scored multiple goals in the first quarter to give Citrus an 8-1 lead. 

Citrus added 13 more goals through the final three quarters to secure a dominant 21-6 win. 

The Owls were led in scoring by Kori Cunningham with five goals, Gabi Terry with three goals and Marieona Reedy with three goals. Elizabeth Walls, Sienna Leon, and Trinity Hulet all added two goals of their own. Kori Cunningham also led the team with five assists followed by Bianca Casas and Trinity Hulet who each recorded three assists in the game.  

Kori Cunningham recorded a team high eight steals while Maryeon Reedy recorded five steals. Natalie Abril recorded five saves in goal while Katelyn Wright earned three saves to secure the win for the Owls. 

Citrus College will travel to LA Valley College for their next game on Wednesday, October 2nd at 4:45 p.m.
