The Citrus College Women's Water Polo team defeated Santa Monica College 19-5 yesterday, November 6th to advance to the second round for the WSC Conference Tournament.
Citrus College improves to 14-14 overall and 4-2 in conference games on the year, while Santa Monica College goes to 2-20 overall and 0-6 in conference games.
The Owls were led by Kori Cunningham who scored six goals, added three assists, and recorded 11 steals. Marieona Reedy also scored six goals and added five steals while Ryan Price scored three goals. Goalies Audrey Jurado and Katelyn Wright only allowed five goals from the Corsairs.
The WSC Conference Tournament has been moved from Ventura College due to the wildfires in the area to Citrus College and games will be played at the Citrus College Aquatics Center tomorrow and Saturday November 8th and 9th.
Citrus College will matchup with Cuesta College tomorrow, Friday, November 8th at 11:15 a.m.
