Owls Open Season at Moorpark Invite
Citrus College opened the season at the Moorpark College Invitational on Friday.
Ryleigh Larue led the Owl women with a 14th-place finish, crossing the 5K finish line in 22 minutes, 5.6 seconds. Esmeralda Aparicio came in at 26:13.7, while Ashley Campuzano (31:07.7), Nancy Cubillo (33:15.2), Sara Fisher (35:16.6) and Margaret Watchler (35:27.2) came in one right after another.
On the men's side, Eduardo Prestegui Melchor led the Owls with a four-mile time of 25:17.3. Saul Mora clocked in at 25:55.6, followed by Jason Bailey in 26:10.0. Nick Jung (29:42.7), Gio De La Cruz (30:22.4) and Christopher Duran (30:58.2) came in one after each other.
The Owls head to the Oxnard Invite next on Friday at 10 am.
