Ten More Owls Accept Offers to Continue Playing

Glendora, CA -- A total of ten more Citrus College Football players have accepted offers from four-year institutions to continue their playing careers. Of the ten, two will transfer with three years of athletic eligibility remaining, and three will transfer to NCAA Division I Schools.

The 2014 Citrus College Youth Summer Sports Camp is set for seven weeks this summer.

Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Football program’s Annual Youth Summer Sports Camp is set for the Summer of 2014. The camp, which welcomes boys and girls ages 6-12, runs for seven weeks beginning June 16th.

Flowers Leaves Early to University of North Dakota

Glendora, CA -- Citrus College freshman Charles Flowers has signed a scholarship offer with the University of North Dakota. Flowers will enroll at North Dakota in the Fall, and will have three years of eligibility remaining for UND.

Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Football program is proud to announce that five more Owls have signed scholarship offers with four-year universities. Sophomore’s Braxton Brown, Kenyatta Johnson, and Vincent Gardella along with freshmen Christian Licciardi and Josh Lowden have all signed in the last two weeks. The five bring Citrus’ 2014 signee totals to nine so far.

Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Football program is pleased to announce the signing of sophomore offensive lineman Blake Luevano with Tennessee Tech University. Luevano is the fourth player from the 2013-2014 sophomore class to sign a football scholarship.

Owls Get Three to Sign Early

Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Football program is pleased to announce that three athletes have signed early scholarship offers to continue their educational and playing careers at the four-year level. Offensive linemen Byron Smith (Colony HS) and Philip Romano (Covina HS), along with defensive back Ryan Solomon (Monrovia HS) will all be playing at the university level come next season.

Three Owls Named All-State

Glendora, CA -- For the second straight year, the Citrus College Football team had a trio of players named All-State. Sophomore’s Kenyatta Johnson and Braxton Brown along with freshman Charles Flowers were all named California Community College Football Coaches Association Region IV All-California 1st-Team Defense.

Thirsty No More

Mission Viejo, CA -- In the vast desert that is the California Community College Athletic Association post-season, there may be no team that suffered from a larger drought than Citrus College. The Owls were 0 for their 7 attempts and hadn’t won a bowl contest since 1988, a year in which nearly all of the current Citrus Football team hadn’t even been born. Citrus is no longer thirsty though, as the 2013 Owls went out and defeated Saddleback College 25-14 in the 2013 Beach Bowl, ending a 25 year dry spell.

Glendora, CA -- The 2013 National Division Central Conference All-Conference team was announced late Monday afternoon. The Owls had 21 players dot the list, the most in at least the last eight years.

Both Sides of the Ball

Wilmington, CA -- The Citrus College Football team closed out their 2013 campaign on Saturday evening at Los Angeles Harbor College. The Owls put together a dominate performance against the Seahawks, on both sides of the ball defeating Harbor 47-15.

Glendora, CA -- The 2013 California Community College Athletic Association Bowl Games have been announced. The Citrus College Football team will be headed South to take on Saddleback College in the 2013 Beach Bowl at 5:00 PM.

Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Football team moved up one spot in the Southern California National Division Rankings, and Citrus College Freshman running back Emmanuel Pooler was named the National Division Central Conference Offensive Player of the Week.

Owls Finish Perfect Home Record With Rout of Long Beach

Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Football team wrapped up a perfect 2013 record at home on Saturday afternoon with a 58-31 rout of visiting Long Beach City College. The 58 points were a program best, since the Owls scored 59 against Rio Hondo College way back in 1990.
