Owls’ Season Ends In Second Game of Super Regionals

San Marcos, CA -- The Citrus College Softball programs fantastic 2015 season came to a disappointing end in the second game of the CCCAA Playoff “Super Regional” Round. The Owls gave up a one run lead with two outs in the top of the seventh inning, before going down in extra inning 8-6 to Cerritos College.

Freshman Autumn Bartholomy pitched 2.1 innings of scoreless relief in Citrus' 7-2 loss to El Camino on Saturday.
Owls Drop Opener of Super Regional

San Marcos, CA -- The Citrus College Softball team’s aspirations of qualifying for their first ever State Championship took a big hit on Saturday afternoon when the Owls dropped their opener of the Super Regional to #5 El Camino College 2-7.

CCCAA Regional Round Two Preview: Citrus @ Palomar College Super Regional

A preview of this weekend’s second round of the California Community College Athletic Association Regional Softball Playoffs. The Owls will take part in a double-elimination four team tournament with the winner advancing to the 2015 CCCAA State Championships next weekend at Bakersfield College. #1 Palomar College is hosting the weekend, along with #4 Citrus, #5 El Camino College, and #11 Cerritos College. The Owls open the weekend on Saturday at 4:00 PM pending weather against the fifth seeded Warriors.

Sophomore Erinn Jaramillo became the fourth straight Owl to earn NFCA All-American honors earlier this week.
Jaramillo Named All-American

Glendora, CA -- Fresh off being named a 1st team All-Western State Conference Blue Division selection and a California Community College Fastpitch Coaches Association All-State honoree, sophomore third baseman Erinn Jaramillo added another award to her resume earlier this week when she was named a National Faspitch Coaches Association California Community College All-American.

Big Bats Propel Owls to Super Regionals for 2nd Time in Program History

Glendora, CA — The Citrus College Softball program advanced to the second round of the 2015 CCCAA Softball Playoffs on Sunday afternoon with a 13-5 six inning win over visiting San Bernardino Valley College. It’s just the second trip to the “Super Regionals” for the Owls in program history, and the second time in the last three years.

Owls Win Game #1 Over San Bernardino Valley

Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Softball, seeded #4 in the CCCAA Southern California Regional Playoffs, played host to #13 seed San Bernardino Valley College on Saturday afternoon in the first game of the best two out of three series. The Owls 11 hits and took advantage of a trio of Wolverine errors to take a 1-0 lead in the series with a 5-1 victory.

The Owls will be taking on San Bernardino Valley College this weekend in the 2015 Playoffs.
CCCAA Regional Round One Preview: Citrus vs San Bernardino Valley

A preview of this weekend’s best two out of three series between #4 Citrus College and #13 San Bernardino Valley College in the first round of the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) Regional Playoffs. Game #1 is set for Saturday at 2:00 PM, with Game #2 a 12:00 PM start on Sunday. If necessary, Game #3 would take place following Game #2 on Sunday.

Owls Rack Up Post-Season Awards

Glendora, CA -- Fresh off their second straight WSC Blue Division Championship, the Citrus College Softball team racked up the post-season awards over the weekend. The Owls were paced by freshman Anissa Gallegos being named the WSC Blue Pitcher of the Year and Head Coach Jackie Boxley claiming WSC Blue Division Coach of the Year honors. In addition, Gallegos along with sophomore Erinn Jaramillo and freshman Jessica Brown were each named California Community College Fastpitch Coaches Association (3CFCA) All-State selections.

The Citrus College softball team earned the #4 seed in the upcoming CCCAA Southern California Playoffs.
Owls Get #4 Seed in SoCal Playoffs

Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Softball team has learned where it will be seeded in the 2015 CCCAA Southern California Regional Playoffs. The Owls earned their highest seed in program history, grabbing the #4 seed after going 30-9 overall and winning their second straight Western State Conference Blue Division Championship.

Owls Close Out Regular Season With Sweep of Mission

Sylmar, CA — The Citrus College Softball team wrapped up their magical 2015 regular season on Tuesday afternoon with a pair of wins over Los Angeles Mission College. The Owls won game one in five innings 11-1, before holding on for a 10-7 win in game two.

Sophomore Megan Troutman went 3 for 4, and the Owls clinched their second straight WSC Blue championship on Thursday with their win at LA Valley.
Owls Clinch Outright WSC Blue Title With Win at LA Valley

Van Nuys, CA -- The Citrus College Softball team clinched the outright Western State Conference Blue Division Championship on Thursday afternoon. With an 8-6 victory over host Los Angeles Valley College, the Owls won their second straight conference title and third in program history with two games left to go.

Freshman Stephanie Noriega was a combined 5 for 7 with two runs and two RBI's in Citrus' double-header split with Glendale.
Two Steps Forward, One Step Back

Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Softball team moved two steps forward towards claiming their second straight Western State Conference Blue Division Championship on Tuesday afternoon, but also took one step back. The Owls won the first game 9-1 in five innings, making it so that Citrus will share at least a part of the conference crown, but missed a chance to outright win the title itself with a 4-1 loss in game two.

Just Getting It Done

Glendora, CA — The Citrus College Softball team didn’t have a single extra base hit, walked only once, and had just two more hits than their opponent on Thursday afternoon when they hosted Antelope Valley College in WSC Blue Division play. The Owls again just got it done, as they went four games up on the second place team in conference with a 6-1 victory.

Overcoming

April 12, 2015

Glendora, CA — Despite committing five total errors, and trailing for much of the game, the Citrus College Softball team found a way to overcome. The Owls eight of their nine runs in the final two innings to knock off host Grossmont College 9-2.

Freshman Jessica Brown was a combined 4 for 6 with three runs and three RBI's, in Citrus' sweep of College of the Canyons Tuesday.
Getting Some Distance

Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Softball program played host to College of the Canyons on Tuesday afternoon in a crucial Western State Conference Blue Division double-header. The Owls had just a one game lead over the Cougars for first place in the conference, as they headed down the home stretch. The Owls got some distance between themselves and the Cougars as they swept Canyons 7-5 and 5-3.

Sophomore Erinn Jaramillo was a combined 7 for 10 with 7 RBI's during last week's WSC Blue competition.
Owls Sweep Santa Monica; Fall to Bakersfield

Santa Monica and Bakersfield, CA — The Citrus College Softball team kept up with WSC Blue action this past week with road contests at Santa Monica and Bakersfield Colleges. The Owls swept the Corsairs on Tuesday, but fell to Bakersfield 5-6 on Thursday.
