Throughout the Citrus College Men's Basketball team's journey in the 2012-2013 post-season, sophomore Kerry Carter will be blogging for the Citrus Athletics Website, giving the Owl faithful an inside look to the team. Today's installment is the third of this year's The Basketball Blog.

A huge road win against Cuesta tonight, gives us our first victory of the playoffs. There's nothing like going into someone's gym and ending their season on their own floor. We've labeled ourselves "road warriors" since every game from here on out will be a battle at an unfamiliar site.

The best thing about playoff basketball is that anything can happen. Although adversity is inevitable, you must prepare for the worst and hope for the best. The celebration is short-lived as we change focus to an even tougher road test at Saddleback. If we want to be the best, we are going to have to beat the best. That means going through #1 seeded Gauchos in their gym.

I'm not ready for my time here at Citrus to end. I have so many great memories here, but I selfishly yearn for more with this group. Winning this next game would be a pivotal point in our season. We all love to win, but at some point we began to hate to lose. It will be that mentality which carries us. Every competition has to have a winner, why not Citrus? Win forever!

Not done yet,
Kerry Carter #3
