Glendora, CA – Sophomores Oliver Amajoyi and Latrelle Franklin were the final two members of the Citrus College Men’s Basketball program to sign scholarship offers this past week. Both individuals red-shirted the 2016-2017 season, and both will be suiting up for NAIA institutions in 2017-2018.

The 11th Annual Citrus College Basketball Youth Camp is set for two sessions beginning on June 19th.

Glendora, CA - The 11th Annual Citrus College Youth Basketball Camp is returning on June 19th for two sessions. The camp geared towards boys and girls aged 6-14, will cover and entice basketball players of all skill levels from around the San Gabriel Valley.

Four Owls Sign Scholarship Offers

Glendora, CA - The Citrus College Men’s Basketball program is pleased to announce that four student-athletes from the 2016-2017 season have signed scholarship offers to continue their education and basketball careers at the four-year level. Three sophomores and one freshman will be suiting up at NCAA institutions next Fall, including Calvin Martin (Sacramento State), Khalil Williams (California State, Los Angeles), Kenneth Cyprian (California State, Los Angeles), and Tyler LaCour (Concordia University, Irvine).

Glendora, CA - The Citrus College Men’s Basketball team incredible 2016-2017 campaign came to a halt on Saturday evening in the “Sweet Sixteen”. Conference rival Antelope Valley stopped the Owls in the same exact round as they did the previous season, hitting the game winning shot with just over two seconds to play in a 74-71 loss.

LaCour’s Big Night Propels Owls Past Cerritos Into Regional Finals

Glendora, CA – Sophomore Tyler LaCour dropped a career high 23 points, and the Owls led from start to finish as Citrus moved past Cerritos into the CCCAA Southern California Regional Finals next weekend. Citrus held the visiting Falcons to a 6 for 24 performance from downtown and just 34.3% shooting from the floor as the Owls defeated 10th seeded Cerritos 79-67.

The Citrus College Men's Basketball team will host #10 Cerritos College at 7:00 PM on Friday night.

Owls to Host Falcons in 2nd Round of Post-Season

Glendora, CA - After wrapping up their first conference title in five years, the Citrus College Men’s Basketball team have learned their postseason fate. The Owls have been seeded #6 in the 19 team post-season tournament and will play host to #10 seed Cerritos College on Friday inside The Owls’ Nest at 7:00 PM.

Owls Settle for Share of Conference Crown With Loss at Barstow

Barstow, CA - The Citrus College Men’s Basketball team would have to settle for a share of the Western State Conference East Division crown. With an outright title on the line, Citrus couldn’t overcome 22.2% shooting from downtown, and their second most turnovers of the season (25) in a 74-77 loss to Barstow College. The loss had the Owls share the conference title with the host Vikings.

Owls Hold Off AVC; Clinch at Least a Share of WSC East Title

Glendora, CA - The Citrus College Men’s Basketball team held off a talented Antelope Valley College Men’s Basketball team on Wednesday night. The Owls used an aggressive attitude on the boards, and solid defense on the Marauders from downtown to hold of AVC 81-72. The win also clinched at least a share of the Western State Conference East Division title for Citrus who closes out their 2016-2017 regular season on Saturday at 2nd Place Barstow College.

The Turnover Margin

Glendora, CA - The Citrus College Men’s Basketball team, ranked #13 in the State, forced visiting Glendale College into 20 turnovers on Saturday afternoon. The Owls meanwhile committed just six total over 40 minutes of action, and outscored the Vaqueros 21-8 in the points scored off of turnovers, giving the Owls a huge advantage in the turnover margin in their 79-68 win.

Owls Keep Pace at Victor Valley

Victorville, CA - The Citrus College Men’s Basketball team kept pace in the race for the 2017 Western State Conference East Division crown. The Owls raced out to an early lead and held off a second half rally by host Victor Valley College for a 95-73 win.

Owls Beat Valley; Avenge Lone Conference Loss

Glendora, CA – The Citrus College Men’s Basketball team finished the first half of Western State Conference East Division play with a 4-1 record. That one loss came at the hands of Los Angeles Valley College in overtime in the very first game of conference play, but the Owls avenged that loss on Saturday night when they hosted the Monarchs and defeated them 71-57.

Offense Outstanding as Owls Oust Barstow

January 29, 2017

Glendora, CA – In what’s shaping up to be arguably one of the toughest divisions in the State, the WSC East race wrapped up the first half of conference play on Saturday afternoon. With that in mind, the Owls picked up a huge win on the day, defeating Barstow College 103-90. The Vikings headed into Saturday’s game in a three-way tie with Citrus and Antelope Valley for first place, and the win left the Owls as co-leaders with the Marauders.

Glendale, CA - Fresh off their first WSC East victory, the Owls faced a tough test on Saturday night when they too on a talented Glendale College. Citrus took the Vaqueros best shot, but in the end the Owls gutted out a win over Glendale 77-74.

Glendora, CA - Sophomore Kenneth Cyprian scored a career high 29 points, and matched a career high by hitting seven treys on Wednesday night when the Citrus College Men’s Basketball team hosted Victor Valley College. Cyprian’s career night, helped carry the Owls past the visiting Rams 85-61.
