Four Sessions Set for 10th Annual Citrus Basketball Camp

Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Men’s Basketball program has four sessions set for it’s upcoming 10th Annual Youth Basketball Camp. The longest running camp in the Citrus College Athletic Department, the Citrus College Youth Basketball Camp is for Boys and Girls Ages 6-14.
Reyes Signs With University of Utah

Glendora, CA -- Citrus College sophomore Chris Reyes, who was named an All-State Selection and the Western State Conference South Division Player of the Year in his one season with the Owls, has signed a scholarship offer to go to the PAC-12 with the University of Utah.
Reyes Leads Post-Season Awards Charge; Three Other Owls Named All-Conference

Glendora, CA -- The 2014 California Community College Athletic Association and Western State Conference Post-Season Awards have been announced, and Citrus freshman Chris Reyes led the charge. Reyes was named the WSC South Most Valuable Player and also was named a 1st team All-State selection.
Owls Fall in Regional Semi-Finals

San Jacinto, CA -- The Citrus College Men’s Basketball team’s 2013-2014 season came to a close on Wednesday evening at the hands of #3 seed Mt. San Jacinto College. The Owls kept it close until midway through the second half when the Eagles ran away with things in a 61-92 loss.

Owls Win Double OT Thriller; Upset #6 East Los Angeles

Monterrey Park, CA -- The Citrus College Men’s Basketball team went on the road to start their 2014 post-season journey and came back home with a big upset of #6 East Los Angeles College. The Owls battled all the way through double overtime before heading back to Glendora with an 86-81 win over the Huskies.

Owls Draw #11 Seed and East Los Angeles College in First Round

Glendora, CA -- For the eighth consecutive year, the Citrus College Men’s Basketball program is in the California Community College Athletic Association Playoffs. The Owls were named the #11 seed in the South and will face South Coast Conference North Division Champion East Los Angeles College, the #6 seed in the South, on Friday night.
Walker, Wildcat Wrangler

Glendora, CA -- Citrus College freshman Dominique Walker saved his best game for the Owls’ final regular season game of the 2013-2014 season. Walker scored a season and game high 18 points, in helping lead the Owls to a 67-63 win over the visiting Wildcats of West Los Angeles College.
Reyes Named CCCAA Male Athlete of the Month

Glendora, CA -- Citrus College freshman Men’s Basketball player Chris Reyes was named the California Community College Sports Information Association California Community College Athletic Association Male State Athlete of the Month for his play in January. Reyes is just the third Owl in the awards history to win the award.
Owls Bounce Back With Win at LA Valley

Valley Glen, CA -- After a disappointing road loss at Antelope Valley College on Wednesday, the Citrus College Men’s Basketball team bounced back with a win on the road at LA Valley College. The win also exacted a bit of revenge for the Owls who were felled by the Monarchs earlier in the year.
Second Half Letdown

Lancaster, CA -- For 20 minutes, Citrus College Men’s Basketball program went toe to toe with State #5 Antelope Valley College. At the half, Citrus trailed by just three points and were in a position to compete well into the second half. That didn’t happen though as the Owls had a second half let down, en route to a 83-56 loss.
A Different Team

Glendora, CA -- Between the first and second halves of the Citrus College Men’s Basketball program’s game against visiting Bakersfield College, the Owls looked like a different team. In the first half, the Owls weren’t very good, shooting just 23.5% from the field and turning the ball over eight times. That all changed in the second half, as Citrus converted 53.8% of their shots and turned the ball over three fewer times en route to a 72-59 win over the Renegades.
Ripped Out

Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Men’s Basketball team battled all the way back from an eight point halftime deficit to go up by two on visiting and State #15 Glendale College with 2:03 to go. The Owls had their heart ripped out though as they watch the Vaqueros tie the game up with 43 seconds left and then hit a game winner with 0.4 seconds left on the clock as Citrus fell 72-69.
Owls Notch a Big One On Road

Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Men’s Basketball team picked up a big road win on Saturday night when they defeated host Santa Monica College 71-65. The Owls led by just one at the break, but sealed the deal in the final minutes to improve to 5-2 in WSC South play.
Owls Survive Late Scramble By Wildcats

Culver City, CA -- The Citrus College Men’s Basketball team rallied from Wednesday set back against Los Angeles Valley College to go on the road and defeat a tough West Los Angeles squad 75-72. The Owls saw a 12 points halftime lead evaporate late in the second half and survived a late scramble by the Wildcats to hold onto the win.
