Volleyball Gets Six on All-WSC South Team

Glendora, CA -- After their second straight trip to the CCCAA post-season the Citrus College Volleyball team was rewarded for their strong season with six members on the All-Western State Conference South Division team. The Owls got two players on each of the first, second, and honorable mention lists.

Owls Fall In Four at Santa Barbara

Santa Barbara, CA -- The Citrus College Volleyball team’s 2013 season came to a close on Tuesday evening at Santa Barbara City College. The Owls fell in a hard fought four sets in the first round of the CCCAA playoffs to host Santa Barbara, 22-25, 21-25, 25-22, 25-15.

The Volleyball Playoff Preview: Regional Round #1

For the second straight year, the Citrus College Volleyball program has qualified for the CCCAA Southern California Playoffs. The Owls were named the #13 seed overall and will head to #4 Santa Barbara City College. The match is set for a 6:00 PM start.

Volleyball Headed to Playoffs for Second Straight Year

Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Volleyball team is headed to the 2013 California Community College Athletic Association Southern California Playoffs for the second straight year. The Owls were named the #13 seed in the post-season and will travel to #4 Santa Barbara City College on Tuesday evening.

Taking Care of Business

Lancaster, CA -- Heading into tonight's regular season finale at Antelope Valley, the Citrus College Volleyball team knew they had to take care of business in order to remain in the playoff hunt. The Owls did exactly that winning convincingly in straight sets 25-17, 25-19, and 25-21.

Owls Dropped In Straight Sets At Bakersfield

Bakersfield, CA -- The Citrus College Volleyball team hit the road for the first of their final two games Friday night. The Owls were dropped in straight sets by State #17 Bakersfield College 26-24, 25-13, and 25-20.

A Proper Goodbye

Glendora, CA -- The 2013 Citrus College Volleyball sophomore said a proper goodbye to the Owls’ Nest on Wednesday evening. The Owls put together their best showing on the court in three weeks with a commanding sweep of visiting Santa Monica College 25-13, 25-12, and 25-14.

Owls Scrap and Fight Their Way Past Glendale In Five

Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Volleyball team needed everything the had on Friday night when they hosted Glendale College. The Owls had to scrap and fight their way past the Vaqueros in five sets, exacting some revenge on Glendale who handed the Owls a similar loss at their place earlier in the year.

Owls Outlasted By Cougars In Five

Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Volleyball team missed a golden opportunity on Wednesday night when they played host to #25 College of the Canyons. The Owls were up two sets to one on the visiting Cougars, but allowed Canyons to win the final two sets. The Cougars eventually outlasted the Owls in five 21-25, 25-19, 18-25, 25-21, and 15-10.

Newbies Time to Shine

Culver City, CA -- It was the Citrus College Volleyball programs' newbies time to shine on Wednesday evening at West LA College. The Owls got a number of solid contributions from its role players as it cruised to a straight set win over the Wildcats 25-5, 25-18, and 25-21.

Street Fight

October 29, 2013

Glendora, CA -- Headed into Monday night’s Western State Conference South Division match-up with visiting Antelope Valley College, the Citrus College Volleyball team knew that they wouldn’t have an easy time with the new conference member. It’s highly unlikely though that they thought they were getting into an old fashioned street fight that they found themselves in, as the Marauders gave Citrus all they could handle in a match that was much closer than Citrus’ straight set sweep indicated.

Just Like Old Times

Glendora, CA -- On Wednesday night, the Citrus College Volleyball team looked just like the team of old times when they took on State #11 Bakersfield College. The Owls looked like the team that started off the season, not the one that’s struggled over the last three weeks, as they upset the Renegades in four sets 25-22, 25-15, 14-25, and 25-21.

Volleyball Snaps Losing Streak

Santa Monica, CA -- After suffering back to back losses in their last two matches, the Citrus College Volleyball team finally snapped their losing streak on Friday night when they hit the road and took out Santa Monica College. It wasn’t easy though for the Owls as they did so in four sets.

Vaqueros Upset Owls

Glendale, CA -- The Citrus College Volleyball team, ranked #23 in the State, was handed its second straight loss on Wednesday evening when they were down in five sets by host Glendale College. It’s the first loss by Citrus to Glendale since 2009.
