Nine Owls Set to Move on to Four-Years

Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Baseball program is pleased to announce that nine sophomores have accepted offers to continue their careers on the diamond at four-year universities starting in the Fall of 2014. Since the 2007 season, the Owls have now moved on 67 players to the next level.

Glendora, CA -- The 2014 Western State Conference South Division awards were announced recently and sophomore Jonathon Reynoso along with freshman Taylor Grace and Sean Patton were the headliners. All three earned 1st team honors, with Patton being a unanimous selection

Glendora, CA -- The 2014 Citrus College Baseball season may have ended a couple of weeks earlier then they may have liked, but it certainly didn’t end in boring fashion. Sophomore Jonathon Reynoso closed out a stellar two-year career with the Owls with a walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth, as Citrus sent conference champs LA Mission College home packing with a 4-3 loss.

One For the Road

Sylmar, CA -- The Citrus College Baseball team wrapped up their 2014 road schedule on Thursday afternoon, and got one for the road. The Owls scored four runs in the top of the ninth, to upset WSC South Champs LA Mission College 7-3.

Sophomore Jayson De La Pena threw 3.1 innings of scoreless relief on Tuesday afternoon, giving up no runs and one hit, while striking out three.
Duel Dashes Owls Playoff Hopes

Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Baseball program’s 2014 playoff hopes were all but dashed on Tuesday afternoon in a pitcher’s duel with Glendale College. In a battle of aces, the Owls came up just short, falling 2-1.

Owls Drop Third Straight

Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Baseball team suffered its third straight loss on Thursday afternoon when they hosted Mt. San Antonio College in a break from WSC South action. The Owls managed just six hits and committed a pair of errors as they fell 6-2.

Late Big Inning Dooms Owls at Mt. SAC

Walnut, CA -- The Citrus College Baseball team made the 10 minute trek up Grand Avenue on Thursday afternoon to take on Mt. San Antonio College in a non-conference match-up. The Owls and Mounties went o blow for blow against each other, but a big late inning by Mt. SAC doomed Citrus as they fell 7-10.

Owls Fall Short At Glendale

Glendale, CA -- The Citrus College fell just short of pulling even with third place Glendale College in the Western State Conference South Division standings on Friday afternoon. The Owls had a rough fourth inning, that put Citrus in a hole they couldn’t climb out of in a 4-3 loss to the Vaqueros.

Owls Win Season Series With Valley For First Time In Five Years

Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Baseball team wrapped up the season series with their longtime nemesis Los Angeles Valley College on Thursday afternoon. The Owls lost the first game of the year to the Monarchs, but won on Tuesday and then defeated Valley 4-2 on Thursday to take the season series for the first time since 2009.

Freshman Sean Patton went seven strong and picked up win number five of the year on Tuesday at LA Valley.
Back in the Saddle

Valley Glen, CA -- The Citrus College Baseball team got back in the saddle on Tuesday afternoon and came away with a 4-3 win at LA Valley College. The Monarchs have long been a thorn in the side of the Owls, and nearly did it again, but Citrus was able to stave off a last inning attempt by LA Valley at a comeback.

Owls’ Seven Game Win Streak Ends in 13 Innings

Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Baseball team committed seven errors, and their seven game win streak came to a screeching halt on Saturday afternoon. The Owls still tried to battle through the mistakes, but ultimately fell in 13 innings, 9-6.

Lancaster, CA -- The Citrus College Baseball team found themselves in seventh heaven on Thursday afternoon. The Owls ran their win streak to seven thanks to a big late push in a 7-2 victory at Antelope Valley College.

Santa Clarita, CA -- The Citrus College Baseball continued their sweet ride on Tuesday afternoon as they picked up their sixth straight win. The Owls won their season series with College of the Canyons with a 9-0 victory over the Cougars.

Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Baseball team gained a little bit of ground in an ever tightening Western State Conference South Division race on Saturday afternoon when they won their fifth straight game. The Owls took down second place College of the Canyons with 14 hits, in an 8-2 victory.

Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Baseball team held off a hard charging Bakersfield College squad on Thursday afternoon to earn their fourth straight win. The Owls built up a 5-1 lead, before hanging out for the 5-4 victory.
