Men’s Water Polo Has Seven Earn All-Conference

Glendora, CA -- Fresh off their most successful season in nearly a decade, the Citrus College Men’s Water Polo team had seven players named to the All-Western State Conference team. The Owls had one 1st team selection, three 2nd team selections, and a trio of Honorable Mention selections.

Owls Bow Out In First Round of WSC Championships

Santa Monica, CA -- The Citrus College Men’s Water Polo team had their 2013 season come to an unceremonious end over the weekend. The Owls bowed out of the 2013 WSC Championships in the first round to host Santa Monica College, with a 6-10 loss.

Owls Take 2nd at Saddleback Tourney II

Mission Viejo, CA -- The Citrus College Men’s Water Polo team had one of their best overall weekends of play this past Friday and Saturday at the Saddleback Tournament II down in South Orange County. The Owls went 3-1, finishing in second place, their only loss coming to SoCal #9 Grossmont College.

A Little Late

Valley Glen, CA -- The Citrus College Men’s Water Polo team put together a great fourth quarter effort on Wednesday evening, but it was a little late for the Owls. Citrus just couldn’t overcome a rough start, and ultimately fell to LA Valley College 11-8.

Freshman Kristopher Williams scored just one goal in two games on Saturday, but it was a big one as his game winner in sudden death overtime, helped Citrus to a 3-1 weekend.
Two With Style

San Luis Obispo, CA -- The Citrus College Men’s Water Polo team won two more games on Saturday at the Cuesta College Tournament II. The Owls did so with style winning big in their first game, before finishing the weekend with a sudden death overtime win in game two.

Down the Middle

San Luis Obispo, CA -- After a week away from tournament action, the Citrus College Men’s Water Polo team hit the pool deck on Friday afternoon for a pair of contests at the Cuesta College Tournament II. The Owls split it down the middle starting off the day with a 12-8 win over Santa Rosa Junior College, before suffering an 8-10 overtime loss to Sierra College.

All But One

Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Men’s Water Polo team took on Ventura College in WSC action on Wednesday afternoon at the Citrus College Aquatics Center. The Owls matched the Pirates goal for goal for all but one quarter, falling eventually 14-12.

Santa Monica, CA -- The Citrus College Men's Water Polo team picked up their first WSC win on Wednesday afternoon at Santa Monica College. The Owls did it with balance as they had six players score at least one goal in a 10-7 victory over the Corsairs.

Sophomore Christian Deamer had seven goals, two assists, and two steals for the Owls on the weekend.

Mission Viejo, CA -- The Citrus College Men’s Water Polo program headed South this past weekend to participate in the Saddleback Invitational water polo tournament. The Owls played some close games throughout, and came out the other side 2-2.

Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Men's Water Polo team kicked off their 2013 Western State Conference schedule on Wednesday against one of the best defensive teams in the State. Cuesta College proved that designation by squelching the Owls' offense, holding them to a season low four goals in an 11-4 loss.

Owls Fall in a Pair of Tight Contests

San Diego, CA -- The Citrus College Men’s Water Polo team closed out the 2013 San Diego Mesa College Tournament on Saturday afternoon with a pair of losses. Both contests were tight, but ultimately the Owls fell to Cerritos College 13-8 and Santa Ana College 12-10.

San Diego, CA -- The Citrus College Men’s Water Polo team got out of the blocks early in both of their contest during day one of the 2013 San Diego Mesa College Tournament. That quick start, helped the Owls to a pair of wins, a 18-7 victory over El Camino College and a 12-8 win over Chaffey College.

Walnut, CA -- It was a 50/50 weekend for the Citrus College Men’s Water Polo program at the Mt. San Antonio College Tournament. The Owls won two, lost two, and were competitive in all four contests against Mt. SAC, Chaffey, Palomar, and Santa Ana.

Owls Finish Strong on Day Two

Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Men’s Water Polo team closed out the final day of their 2013 Citrus College Men’s Water Polo Tournament with a pair of victories. The Owls started off the day with a 10-8 win over conference rival Santa Monica College, before closing out the tournament with a 12-8 victory over NCAA DIII Cal Tech.

Freshman Seth Adams had a strong day while the Owls split their first to contests of the season.
Promising Start

Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Men’s Water Polo team opened up their 2013 season on Friday when they hosted their annual tournament that drew teams from around Southern California. The Owls split their two games on the day, but it was a promising start for a squad that looked vastly improved in a 14-9 loss to Santa Ana College and 20-12 win over Miramar College.

Glendora, CA -- Throughout the 80’s, 90’s, and early 2000’s, the Citrus College Men’s Water Polo program was one of the most highly regarded programs in the State, and with good reason. In that stretch, Citrus won nine conference titles, made countless playoff appearances, was the SoCal Runner-Up in 1996, the SoCal Champion in 1995, the State Runner-Up in 1999, and the State Champs in 2000, Citrus’ first eve State Championship in any sport.
