Glendora, CA - The Citrus College Athletics Department is pleased to announce that Jennifer Spalding has been hired on as a full-time faculty member of the Citrus College Kinesiology Department and as the Head Women’s Water Polo and Swim Coach.

Winningest Season in Program History Sees Owls Finish in Fifth Place

Valley Glen, CA - The winningest season in Citrus College Women’s Water Polo program history came to a close on Friday afternoon at the 2015 Western State Conference Championships. While the Owls finished in a somewhat disappointing fifth place, they still put together the most successful season win wise in program history, and finished the season with a win.

Owls Come Up Short at Cuesta

San Luis Obispo, CA - With the #3 seed in the upcoming Western State Conference Championships on the line on Wednesday afternoon, the Citrus College Women’s Water Polo team came up just short against Cuesta College. The Owls trailed by a goal after two quarters of play, but were outscored by three over the final 16 minutes of competition in a 11-7 loss.

Owls Break Single Season Win Mark at Battle at the Beach

Cypress, CA -- The Citrus College Women’s Water Polo program broke the program record for most wins in a single season over the weekend. The Owls earned their 18th win of the season in their final game of the weekend after going 2-2 on the weekend and finishing in 13th place among arguably the Top 24 teams in the State.

Owls Come Up Short Against LA Valley

Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Women’s Water Polo team had a great opportunity on Wednesday afternoon to insert themselves into the top spot of the Western State Conference standings when they hosted first place Los Angeles Valley College. The Owls came up just short of that effort, falling to the Monarchs 9-6.

Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Women’s Water Polo team played host to eight other colleges from around Southern California over the weekend in their annual home hosted tournament. The Owls were right at home in their home water, going 3-1.

Owls Handle Corsairs

Santa Monica, CA — The Citrus College Women’s Water Polo team hit the road on Wednesday afternoon for a WSC contest with Santa Monica College. The Owls went into Santa Monica and handled the Corsairs picking up a 16-5 victory.

Owls Keep Pace in WSC With Win Over Allan Hancock

Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Women’s Water Polo programs strong 2015 campaign continued on Wednesday afternoon when they hosted Allan Hancock College in Western State Conference action. The Owls kept pace in the WSC race with a 14-3 victory over the visiting Bulldogs.

San Diego, CA -- The Citrus College Women’s Water Polo program continued it’s 2015 campaign this past weekend when it took part in the 18th Annual San Diego Classic hosted by San Diego Mesa College. The Owls split the weekend, going 2-2 and 1-1 on each day.

A Big Step Forward

Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Women’s Water Polo program took a big step forward on Wednesday afternoon when they hosted Ventura College in Western State Conference play. The Owls held off a late Pirate rally and defeated Ventura for the first time in nine tries in conference play with a 9-8 win on the day.

Hard Fought

Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Women’s Water Polo program served as the co-host of the 19th Annual Mt. San Antonio College Classic Women’s Water Polo Tournament. The Owls played four games in their home water between Friday and Saturday and came away with four hard fought victories against some stiff competition.

Strong in the Middle

Woodland Hills, CA -- It took around eight minutes, but once the Citrus College Women’s Water Polo team got going in the conference tilt with Los Angeles Pierce College on Wednesday afternoon they were hard to stop. The Owls looked strong in the middle outscoring the Brahmas 13-2 in the second and third quarters as they improved to 1-1 in conference with a 16-5 win.

Owls Can’t Find Back of Net In Conference Opener

Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Women’s Water Polo program drew a tall task in their Western State Conference opener on Wednesday afternoon when they hosted defending conference champs Santa Barbara City College. The Owls gave it a good effort, but struggled to find the back of the net, converting just 11.1% of their shot attempts in a tough 8-3 loss.

Sophomore Danielle DeHerrera had six goals and seven steals for the Owls as they won in double-digits in each of their matches on Saturday.
Flexing Some Muscle

September 13, 2015

Mission Viejo, CA -- After earning their first win of the season in a split during day one of the 2015 Saddleback College Tournament, the Citrus College Women’s Water Polo program flexed some muscle on the second and final day of action. The Owls cruised in both contests, winning by double digits in both against Southwestern College and Rio Hondo College.

Sophomore Elaine Hodge had four goals, three assists, and five steals as Citrus went 1-1 in their opening day of play.
Owls Earn Split; Pick-Up Paschall’s First Win

Mission Viejo, CA -- The 2015 Citrus College Women’s Water Polo season finally got under way on Friday afternoon at the 2015 Saddleback Invitational. The Owls opened things up with a disappointing 13-6 loss to the weekend’s host Saddleback College, but rallied with a 13-2 win over East Los Angeles College in the early evening, earning new head coach Meaghan Pachsall her first career collegiate head coaching win.

Glendora, CA -- Assistant Coach Meaghan Paschall has been named the Interim Head Coach of the Citrus College Women’s Water Polo program. Paschall takes over for Andrew Silva who stepped down to accept a position near his home town late last week.
