Former Owl Trey Mitchell Signed by LA Galaxy

Glendora, CA -- Former Citrus College Men’s Soccer player Trey Mitchell was signed by the Los Angeles Galaxy of Major League Soccer. Mitchell was announced as a new member of the Galaxy on March 27th.

Men’s Soccer Has Five Named All-WSC

Glendora, CA -- The Western State Conference All-Conference list was announced recently for Men’s Soccer and Citrus College had five individuals named to the team. The Owls had one player on the 1st team, two on the 2nd, and another pair named Honorable Mention.

Sophomore Michael Montoya scored twice for the Owls in their 3-2 win at Santa Monica College.
On a High Note

Santa Monica, CA -- The Citrus College Men’s Soccer program’s 2014 season finished on a high note on Friday afternoon. The Owls travelled to Santa Monica College and upended the host Corsairs 3-2 in their season finale.

The Citrus College sophomores closed out their Owl careers with an 8-1 win over visiting Allan Hancock College.
Early and Often

Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Men’s Soccer team scored early and often on Tuesday afternoon in their regular season home finale against Allan Hancock College. The Owls scored five goals in the first 15 minutes of the game, as they went on to defeat the Bulldogs 8-1.

Late Goal Lifts Owls Over Santa Barbara

Glendora, CA -- For just the fourth time in 18 tries the Citrus College Men’s Soccer team got a victory over its long time nemesis Santa Barbara City College. The Owls got a score in the 80th minute lifting them over the Vaqueros.

Mostly Bad

Glendora, CA -- When the Citrus College Men’s Soccer team hosted second place College of the Canyons on Tuesday afternoon, things were mostly bad for the Owls. Citrus suffered one of their worst losses of the year, in a 5-1 setback to the Cougars.

Glendora, CA -- After more or less dominating the ball in Friday’s match with visiting Moorpark College, the Citrus College Men’s Soccer team was forced to settle for a 1-1 tie against the visiting Raiders.

Oxnard, CA -- The Citrus College Men’s Soccer team hit the road on Friday afternoon to take on first place Oxnard College. The Owls were overmatched against the host Condors, being held to four total shots and getting shutout 3-0.

Glendora, CA -- After being close a number of times, at the Citrus College Men's Soccer team finally got their big upset on they year when they knocked off SoCal #8 Los Angeles Mission College 3-2.

Owls Blanked In Loss at Glendale

Glendale, CA -- For the first time in nearly a month, the Citrus College Men’s Soccer team found themselves scoreless at the end of 90 minutes. The Owls mustered just three shots, and were shutout for the first time since September 19th, in a 1-0 loss at Glendale College.

Tie, Tie Again

Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Men’s Soccer team only had the lead in Tuesday afternoon’s contest with visiting Santa Monica College for five minutes, but it didn’t make it hurt any less when instead of the win, the Owls had to settled for a tie again. The Corsairs scored in stoppage time, as Citrus and Santa Monica played to a 2-2 tie, the Owls’ third in their last five games.

Yet Another Tie

Santa Maria, CA -- A trend has emerged for the Citrus College Men’s Soccer team so far in 2014. The Owls have arguably been the most competitive team in the Western State Conference not on the top of the standings. Citrus proved their worth again with yet another tie on Friday afternoon, 1-1 at Allan Hancock College.

Owls Let One Slip at Santa Barbara

Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Men’s Soccer went out to Santa Barbara City College on Tuesday night, and let one slip against the Vaqueros. The Owls had leads of 1-0 and 2-1, as well as the game tied up at 3-3 late in the second half, but Citrus eventually fell 4-3.

Santa Clarita, CA -- The Citrus College Men’s Soccer team hit the road on Friday afternoon to take on third place College of the Canyons. The Owls came back home with a strong result, tying the Cougars 2-2 on their home turf.

Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Men’s Soccer team was on the brink of accomplishing something they’ve only done twice in their previous 16 tries. The Owls came this close to earning a result against perennial WSC power Oxnard College, but a late goal foiled their chances as they fell to the Condors 3-2.
