Volleyball Has Six Named All-Conference

Glendora, CA - Despite a slow start to their 2016 campaign the Citrus College Volleyball team, the Owls rallied late and finished in a respectable third place in the Western State Conference East Division. As a result, the Owls had six individuals named to the All-Western State Conference East Division team.
It’s Not How You Start

Santa Monica, CA - Prior to Western State Conference South Division play, things arguably could’t have been more difficult for the Citrus College Volleyball team. Citrus didn’t pick up their first victory until their 13th game of the year, and they entered conference play with a 2-15 record. The Owls proved that it’s not how you start, but how you finish as they never lost sight of the bigger picture and never gave up. That effort paid off as they finished off conference play a solid 4-4 after beating Santa Monica College in four sets on Friday evening in their final match of the year.
Owls Battle Brahmas

Glendora, CA - When Los Angeles Pierce College comes calling at the Owls’ Nest, there are usually two things that you can count on. First, is that the Brahmas will be good, and coming into Wednesday night’s Western State Conference contest with the Owls, Pierce was 23-3 overall and ranked #2 in the State. The second thing is that the Owls will almost always battle the Brahmas no matter what the records are, and Citrus did just that despite being swept in straight sets 16-25, 19-25, and 19-25.
On All Cylinders

Glendora, CA - The Citrus College Volleyball team played one of their best matches of the 2016 season on Friday afternoon when they hosted Glendale College. The Owls were firing on all cylinders, posting a season high 46 kills (in a three set match), and also posted a season low of 10 attack errors in a sweep of the visiting Vaqueros.
Owls Downed by Rams on Road

Victorville, CA – The Citrus College Volleyball team hit the road on Wednesday evening for another WSC East showdown with Victor Valley College. The Owls put forth a solid effort, but didn’t have enough in the end in as they were downed in straight sets.
Owls Move to .500 in WSC East Play With Home Victory Over Santa Monica

Glendora, CA - The Citrus College Volleyball team moved to .500 in Western State Conference East Division play on Wednesday evening. The Owls rallied after a sloppy first set to run away with the next three in a 17-25, 25-10, 25-19, and 25-19 win over visiting Santa Monica College.
Owls Fall at Pierce

Woodland Hills, CA - The Citrus College Volleyball team put together a solid effort on Friday afternoon when they traveled to Woodland Hills to take on the #2 ranked team in the State of California in Los Angeles Pierce College. The Owls hit the 19 and 18 points mark in the first two sets, before being put away in the third 25-12.
Owls Beat Vaqueros in Four; Win First WSC East Match

Glendale, CA - The Citrus College Volleyball team hit the road on Wednesday evening to take on Glendale College in Western State Conference East Division action. The Owls rallied after losing the first set to win the next three in a 21-25, 25-16, 25-19, and 25-19 victory.
In Error

Glendora, CA - The Citrus College Volleyball team kicked off their 2016 Western State Conference East Division schedule at home on Friday evening against Victor Valley College. The Owls fell in straight sets, due in large part to the amount of errors they committed, 33 in total, in the 19, 20, and 20 loss.
State #3 Santa Barbara too Much for Owls Volleyball

Santa Barbara, CA - The Citrus College Volleyball team knew they would have their hands full when they made the 115 mile trek up to Santa Barbara City College to take on the State ranked #3 Vaqueros. The Owls put up a solid fight, but fell in straight sets 18-25, 19-25, and 21-25.
A Sweep Feeling

Lancaster, CA - The Citrus College Volleyball team got to experience what was a rare feeling for them on Monday evening when they travelled to Antelope Valley College. The Owls swept the host Marauders, putting together arguably their best performance of the year in a 31-29, 25-18, 25-19 victory.
Owls Swept by Cuesta in Home Opener

Glendora, CA - After nearly a month and a half of playing on the road and a tough 14 match start to their 2016 campaign, the Citrus College Volleyball team finally made their way home on Friday evening. Unfortunately for the Owls it wasn’t a welcome homecoming as they were swept by visiting Cuesta College 25-15, 25-23, and 25-17.
Good Effort Not Enough in Loss to Mission

Sylmar, CA - Fresh off their first win in 2016, the Citrus College Volleyball team headed West on the 210 freeway to take on fellow WSC member Los Angeles Mission College. The Owls put forth a good effort, but it wasn't enough in a four-set loss to the host Eagles.
Owls Win First of Year in Five Sets at San Bernardino

San Bernardino, CA - The Citrus College Volleyball team picked up their first victory of 2016 on Wednesday when they defeated San Bernardino Valley College on the road in five sets. Citrus nearly did their best to give it away, but in the end prevailed.
Fifth Set Nightmares

Victorville, CA - In Citrus’ first 10 games of the 2016 season, the Owls suffered losses in five sets in three matches. Citrus’ fifth set nightmares continued over the weekend when they lost two five-set matches, one to Mt. San Jacinto College and the other to new conference rival Victor Valley College.
Volleyball's Woes Continue at PCC Triangular

Pasadena, CA – The early season issues for the Citrus College Volleyball team continued on Wednesday evening at the triangular hosted by Pasadena City College. The Owls opened up the night by getting swept by the host Lancers, before falling in five sets to Mt. San Jacinto College, their second loss to the Eagles this year.
