Owls Have Three Sign

Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Women’s Basketball program is pleased to announce that three of its sophomores have accepted scholarship offers from four-year universities. Olivia Montgomery, Jaelyn Wilson, and Jasmin Longtin will all be suiting up for universities next year.

Jackson, Montgomery, and Wilson Named All-Conference

Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Women’s Basketball team had three Owls named to the 2014 All-Western State Conference South Division First Team on Sunday. Sophomore’s Taylor Jackson, Olivia Montgomery, and Jaelyn Wilson all took home the award.

Owls Finish On High Note

Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Women’s Basketball program wrapped up their 2013-2014 campaign on Wednesday evening when they played host to West Los Angeles College. The Owls overcame a sloppy start and 21 total turnovers to finish their season on a high note with a 66-52 victory.

Owls Drop Game at LA Valley

Valley Glen, CA -- After Wednesday night’s thrilling overtime win at Antelope Valley College, the Citrus College Women’s Basketball team couldn’t quite sustain their momentum into Saturday’s contest with first place and State #7 LA Valley College. In the end, the Monarchs were too much as Citrus dropped a 64-79 contest.

Guts

February 13, 2014

Lancaster, CA -- The Citrus College Women’s Basketball team showed some serious guts on Wednesday evening in an overtime win over host Antelope Valley College. The Owls led by five at the half, but were held field goal less for an eight minute stretch in the second half, before coming back for the big victory in the extra period.

The O Show

Glendora, CA -- Citrus College sophomore Olivia Montgomery had the game of her life late Saturday afternoon, when the Women’s Basketball team played host to Bakersfield College. Montgomery made it the O Show, with a career high in points and rebounds in the Owls’ 60-49 win over the Renegades.

Bad Start, Worse Finish

Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Women’s Basketball team got off to a bad start on Wednesday evening in their WSC South meeting with Glendale College at Citrus. Unfortunately for the Owls, the finish was worse as they fell to the Vaqueros 49-55.

Owls Rally in Second Half for Win at Santa Monica

Santa Monica, CA -- The Citrus College Women’s Basketball team made it two straight on Saturday afternoon with a 56-51 win over Santa Monica College. The Owls trailed by one at the break, but got it together in the second half to grab the five point win.

Owls Stop Three Game Slide at West LA

January 27, 2014

Culver City, CA -- The Citrus College Women’s Basketball program stopped a three game slide on Saturday evening with a 65-38 win at West Los Angeles College. The Owls grabbed 41 total rebounds, recorded 18 total assists, and committed just 12 turnovers in the win.

Monarchs Too Much For Owls

January 23, 2014

Glendora, CA -- Down a pair of starters, the Citrus College Women’s Basketball team had an uphill battle when it faced State #8 and SoCal #5 Los Angeles Valley College on Wednesday night. In the end, the Monarchs proved too much for the Owls, as Citrus fell 60-80.

Owls Drop Second Straight

Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Women’s Basketball team dropped their second straight contest on Saturday afternoon. The Owls shot just 27.3% from the field and an uncharacteristic 58.3% from the free-throw line as they fell to Antelope Valley College 58-44.

Owls Six Game Win Streak Snapped at Bakersfield

Bakersfield, CA -- The Citrus College Women’s Basketball team’s six game winning streak was snapped on Wednesday night at Bakersfield College. The Owls struggled to their second lowest scoring output of the season, in a 50-55 loss to the Renegades.

Owls Move Into State Rankings and Up Six Spots In SoCal Rankings

Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Women’s Basketball team continued on its strong roll last week as it opened up conference play with a pair of wins over Santa Monica College and Glendale College. In response the pollsters, moved the Owls into the State Rankings and also moved them up six total spots in the Southern California rankings.

Glendale, CA — The Citrus College Women’s Basketball team proved what a battle tested squad they were on Saturday afternoon at Glendale College. The Owls trailed by as much as nine points in the second half, but remained calm and persevered in the end, grabbing a 71-63 win over the host Vaqueros.

Owls Roll In Conference Opener

Glendora, CA -- The Citrus College Women’s Basketball team opened up their 2014 Western State Conference South Division on Wednesday evening at home against Santa Monica College. The Owls rolled against a banged up Corsairs squad 73-39.
